Graduate Application Fee Waiver Request Form

If you are a veteran or military member seeking an application fee waiver, please complete this form.

Please Read: Before completing this form, read the policy on application fee waivers. This form refers only to the LSU graduate application fee, not to any other university, department, or program fees that may apply. Application fee waivers are not available for international students or late applications. Application fee waiver requests must be submitted at least four weeks prior to the program’s application deadline.

Application fee waiver requests must be submitted at least four weeks prior to the program’s application deadline date, in order to provide enough time to evaluate the application and determine eligibility. Application fee waivers will not be granted if the application deadline has passed. The program to which you are applying may require additional fees, which are not covered by this policy.

Fill out the Application Fee Waiver Request Form, and append the documents listed on the form applicable to you. (Note: application fee waiver requests will not be considered without the required documentation). Final approval for the requested waiver is made by the LSU Graduate School. The application fee may also be waived in some cases of financial hardship. In order to apply for the fee waiver, complete the application fee waiver form below and attach the required supplemental documents listed below.

Part one of the most recent year's FAFSA Student Aid Report (SAR) including Estimated Student or Family Contribution
Official verification of participation in a low-income, government aid program

*Eligibility also requires the applicant be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
